Terms of Use

These are the basic terms for using Birdie Book. By creating an account, you agree to them.

Using the app

• Use Birdie Book for tracking golf — your own rounds and those of players you're authorized to score.
• You're responsible for the activity on your account; keep your login secure.
• Don't misuse the service — no attempts to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to it or other users' data.

Your data

Your golf data is yours. We store and process it to run the app, as described in our Privacy page. Personal rounds can generally be edited or deleted through the app. Shared event, league, course-operation, consent, audit, and organizer financial-status records may instead be corrected, anonymized, or retained so the other people and organizers relying on that shared history are not left with a misleading record.

Events, leagues, and course operations

Organizers are responsible for entering only information they are authorized to use and for recording any required event-specific text-message consent accurately. Birdie Book may record attendance state, scoring assignments, consent evidence, and organizer-reported dues, prize, or entry-fee status. Birdie Book does not collect, hold, transfer, or settle that money, and organizers must not enter card numbers, bank details, or other sensitive payment credentials.

Text messages (SMS)

An event organizer may add your mobile number only after recording your consent to receive operational text messages from Birdie Book about that specific event: participation confirmation, schedule and assignment reminders, an event-day check-in link, organizer updates, and final results. We do not send marketing texts. Consent is limited to that event and is never required to play in it or use Birdie Book.

Message frequency varies by event — expect roughly 1–5 messages per event. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop all messages or HELP for help. We do not share or sell mobile numbers; see the privacy policy.

Availability & changes

Birdie Book is an early-stage app provided “as is,” without warranties. We may update features, these terms, or the service itself; if we make material changes we'll update the date above. The Birdie Book handicap estimate is calculated for in-app reference. Not an official Handicap Index from GHIN or another authorized association; PCC and the current nine-hole expected-score method are not included.

Ending use

You can stop using Birdie Book and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

This is a plain-language summary for an early-stage app. It is not a promise of a service level or a substitute for the written scope agreed for a course pilot.
