Text Message (SMS) Opt-In
Birdie Book sends transactional text messages only about a specific golf event a golfer is participating in: participation confirmation, schedule and playing-assignment reminders, an event-day check-in link, organizer updates, and final results. No marketing. This page is the official opt-in language event organizers use when collecting mobile numbers — read aloud in person or printed on an event contact sheet. Birdie Book does not offer public event registration.
Verbal opt-in — the script organizers read
“Would you like text updates for this outing? If you give me your cell number, Birdie Book will text you your participation confirmation, the schedule, a check-in link on event day, and final results — usually one to five texts for the event, and nothing else. Message and data rates may apply, and you can text STOP at any time to stop. It’s optional — you can play either way.”
Printed event contact sheet — the consent block
Organizers using a paper event contact sheet include this block next to the mobile-number field:
☐ Text me updates about this event. Mobile #: ______________________
By providing my mobile number and checking the box, I agree to receive transactional text messages from Birdie Book about this event only — participation confirmation, schedule and assignments, an event-day check-in link, organizer updates, and final results. Typically 1–5 messages per event. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of playing. Terms: birdiebook.pro/terms · Privacy: birdiebook.pro/privacy
What every recipient can rely on
- Consent is scoped to the single event the golfer is participating in and is recorded with that event contact.
- Message frequency varies; expect roughly 1–5 messages per event. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to stop all messages or HELP for help. STOP requests take effect immediately. Text START to lift the global messaging block. START does not restore consent for any event; before event texts resume, the organizer must record fresh consent for that specific event.
- Mobile numbers are never shared or sold; see the privacy policy and terms.
- Opting in is never a condition of playing or of using Birdie Book.
